The feeling: Nervousness. Why? You know he's going to call, you just don't know when. (Well, he has, but you've missed him.) It's like a jack-in-the-box. You know that if you keep turning the crank, the little guy is going to pop out, but it's still a surprise when he does.
The thoughts: Will you calm the heck down? It's not that I have any expectations of anything. We're just friends. But you still need to chill. And will you stop shaking your leg? Geez. I shake my leg when I get nervous. I can't help it.
The solution: Wait and see. Don't worry about it. Be yourself.

You just have to love that spastic nervousness, don't you? I sooo feel your pain.
oooh, a phone call. don't forget to keep us posted!
Hmmm . . . are you sure you feel just friendly feelings for this guy? Because when I'm waiting for MY friends to call, my legs don't shake! :D Methinks he's getting under your skin a little!
Now I feel kinda silly and overly girly for posting this. Oh, well.
You know the nervous uncertainty when you're sort of just getting to know someone? That's what's going on.
Oh how well I remember those feelings, Chantell. Even if I have been married for 21 years! *sigh* (a good sigh) Keep us posted! And try to remain calm. *grin*
I know the feeling. I've had similar feelings for a guy friend of mine, who's been my friend for over a year now, and who kept in touch with me and only me (aside from his family) throughout his year of teaching in South Korea. He just returned home earlier this month, and we've been talking on the phone, and we hung out for my birthday last Friday, and I still get so nervous around him, even though he knows pretty much everything about me (aside from my feelings for him, of course).
It's a fun feeling though. Enjoy it. :D
I had been in a relationship for 10 years and now that it is over... I have forgotten just how annoying it is. You're just getting to know them. The attraction is definitely there. You make a date... they say they will call you the day of the date. You pace and wait nervously for the phone to ring. Decide to do the laundry and all that does is leave you waiting nervously around the house in your skivvies. Decide to surf the blog verse only to read about being nervous waiting for him to call.
As exciting as it all is. I hate being single. And why hasn't he called me yet dangit. See, we aren't so different after all.
